A strategic digital approach to build a great online brand presence and boost tour package bookings

Carmelia Haven Plantation Resort & Spa is an eco friendly resort located along the scenic landscape of the popular Munnar-Thekkady road, amidst plantations and spice valleys. Apart from being a picturesque getaway, Carmelia Haven also features tourist attractions like an Ayurveda Centre, Games Room, Kids park, Plantation visits, Off roading trips along with facilities like a Multi-Cuisine restaurant, Conference Hall, Coffee shop, Swimming Pool etc.

Though the resort had a good branding offline and sufficient bookings, a careful analysis showed that online branding could work wonders for promoting both brand awareness and bookings. OnPageOne laid out a structured digital marketing agenda for the resort wherein we would push creative, artistic and minimalistic social media posts that talked about the various features, facilities and activities that could be conducted in the resort. Once a good online brand image was created, we moved on to feature the various tour packages offered by the resort.

A target group of audience was identified to drive the campaigns and the search ads were optimised routinely to align campaigns as per user searches. Furthermore, the agency also consistently sent out messages to the audience about the importance of taking a break and retreating to Nature every now and then, thereby urging them to come take a look at the attractive features of the resort. The Agency ensured that quality content was posted on a regular basis to attract not only the potential guests to get an idea of the resort area, events, facilities and local attractions, but also for search engine optimization. All the special events and highlights were promoted and a story-telling approach was adopted wherein guests would be sharing their experiences in the resort. Captivating content revolving around families, couples or solo travellers having fun at their resort was utilised to engage the target audience and evoke them into booking a package and experience the resort all for themselves.
